How To Transition From Stay at Home Mom To Work From Home Mom

It can be a hard transition to make when you decide to go back to work after being a stay at home mom for a while, especially if you have older kids. It's even harder if your job requires you to work from home! But it's important that we find ways to maintain our careers and our sanity as well as our relationships with our families. Here are some tips on how I made the transition from stay at home mom to work from home mom:

Do a little research on work from home jobs

It's important to do a little research on work from home jobs. You want to find one that fits your skills and interests, so it's best to start by looking at the job market in your area. If there are lots of jobs available, then finding and getting one should be easy for you.

Think about your schedule

Be realistic about your time. Make sure you have enough time for yourself, family and friends. If a job will take over all of your free time, then it's probably not going to work out well for either party involved. You should also consider whether there are any kids in the picture who might be affected by this change (if there are small children at home). Don't forget that working from home doesn't mean never leaving the house! You'll still need breaks every once in awhile so go ahead and plan those into your day as well!

Be practical about your priorities

You will need to be realistic about what you can do, and what you can't. There will always be some tasks that are not your favorite. For example, I hated cleaning the dishes until I learned how to make them sparkle with only a few drops of dish soap! That was a game changer for me!

You also need to be flexible when it comes to prioritizing your time and energy. If something comes up that means taking care of one thing first instead of another thing later (like taking care of an unexpected errand instead of doing laundry), then do it! Don't worry about getting everything done perfectly on schedule.

Work at it a little at a time

  • Break it down into small tasks. If you have a big goal, break it down into smaller ones that are easier to tackle. For example, if you want to start a blog and make money from home, break this down into smaller goals like finding a domain name, creating a website and getting traffic from social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

  • Do what you can when you can do it! Don't worry about doing everything all at once; just focus on doing something each day until the task is finished (or close enough). It may take months or years but eventually all those small steps will add up!

  • Celebrate every little win along the way! This gives us motivation and keeps us going when things get tough because sometimes progress seems slow at first but once we've reached one milestone there's another waiting just around corner - so keep celebrating!

Get used to the idea that there are different kinds of work-at-home jobs

The first step is to get used to the idea that there are different kinds of work-at-home jobs, and they're not all the same. Some are more flexible than others, some require more effort than others and some pay better than others. If you really want to make it work in your life as a stay at home mom, then you need to be able to see what kind of job works best for your situation.

There are plenty of options for working from home with flexible hours, so you cant give up!

You'll need to be willing to put in the time and be patient while you search. You also need to be willing to try different things and not give up too quickly. There are many more options than you think, but it may take some research on your part before finding the right fit for your needs and lifestyle.
