7 Time Management and Organization Tips For Working Moms

I'm a working mom, and I know how hard it can be to juggle life with a career and kids. I've been there. However, I also know that in order to make the best use of your time, you have to make sure you're being efficient and effective with it. With that in mind, here are some time management tricks for working moms:

Take breaks

Taking breaks is essential to staying focused and productive. When you're working, your brain needs time to rest and recharge so that you can focus again later on in the day. Taking breaks will help keep your mind fresh and ready for more work!

To take a break, try doing something relaxing like reading a book or listening to music--it's important not only that our bodies get some rest but also our minds! If possible, try taking a walk outside or calling up one of your friends (or family members) who lives far away so they can talk about something other than work-related things with you; this will give both of you time away from thinking about work while still giving them an opportunity to connect with each other over some fun topics other than just what happened at work today/last week/etc.

Ask for help

One of the most important ways you can manage your time is by asking for help.

  • Ask friends and family. You may be surprised how many people are willing to lend a hand, especially if they know how much you need it!

  • Ask your spouse/partner. Your partner may not be able to take over all the household responsibilities, but they could still give you some much-needed assistance with things like housework or taking care of the kids so that you have more time in the evenings to work on school projects or catch up on emails before bedtime (or both!).

  • Hire an organizer from TaskRabbit (or similar service). This person will come into your home and help declutter spaces so that everything has its place--and then make sure everything stays there! They'll also assist with creating systems for keeping track of homework assignments and other paperwork related to schoolwork so that every member of the family knows where everything belongs at all times (and can find it when needed).

Make lists

One of the best ways to stay organized and on top of your tasks is by making a list. Write down all the things you need to get done, and prioritize them by importance. Make sure your list is realistic--you don't want to add more work than you can handle. If it helps, use an app or planner that allows you to keep track of what needs doing when!

Schedule your day in the morning

You can't manage what you don't know. If you don't schedule your day, how will you know how much time each task will take?

A good way to schedule your day is by using a digital calendar or planner app. The best apps allow users to set reminders and organize their schedules in ways that work best for them. For example, some people like having one big block of time when they write blog posts and other social media content while others prefer splitting up their weekly writing tasks into smaller chunks throughout the week (like Monday through Thursday). You can even use tools like Trello or Asana if planning is not necessarily something that comes naturally for you! No matter which app(s) work best for us as individuals though - our main goal should always be ensuring we have enough time left over after completing all our work responsibilities so we're able to spend quality time with friends/family members during non-work hours."

Don't multitask during the important stuff

It's tempting to try and do everything at once, but you can't be effective if you're doing too many things at once.

Instead of multitasking during the important stuff, focus on one task at a time. This will help prevent stress and anxiety and make it easier for you to stay focused. If possible, complete your most important tasks first so that they don't linger in your mind as much throughout the day (and night).

Get organized and label everything

The first step to getting organized is to find a place for everything. Make sure you have an efficient system for storing and finding things so that they don't end up being a nuisance.

Labeling items is also a good idea, especially if more than one person in your household uses them. For example, if both parents use the same computer at home or work, it's helpful for everyone if there are labels on each piece of equipment so people can quickly identify which item belongs to whom when it comes time for someone else to use it (or vice versa).

Use technology to your advantage

You can use a calendar, to-do list and project management app to keep yourself organized.

  • The first step to managing your time is knowing what you need to do. You should always have a plan for the day and week ahead of you, so that when something comes up, such as an unexpected meeting or phone call with a client, it won't throw off your schedule too much.

  • Use technology to keep track of everything on your plate: projects at work; personal errands like getting groceries or getting laundry done; appointments with friends or family members; anything else! There are lots of great apps out there that will help you manage all these things in one place so they don't fall through the cracks (or get forgotten).

Time management is a challenge, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming

As a working mom, you probably have a lot on your plate. Between managing the kids, keeping up with household chores and responsibilities and making sure that everyone is fed and well-rested enough to be at school or work on time each day, it can feel like there's just not enough time in the day for anything else--including finding time to get everything done that needs doing!

But don't worry: time management isn't something that should overwhelm you. It's actually an important skill that every person should learn if they want to manage their lives effectively and efficiently. And while there are no magic tricks or hacks for mastering this skill overnight (or even over several months), there are some steps anyone can take right now toward getting better at managing their schedules and prioritizing tasks according to importance so they can spend less energy worrying about what's coming next on their list of things-to-do while still feeling productive throughout the day or week ahead.

I know that time management is a challenge, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. If you use these tips, I promise they will help make your life easier and more organized. You will be able to focus on what matters most in life: family, friends and work!
